Reese and Rory’s Cake Smash! | Rhode Island and MA Cake Smash Photographer

“Almost a year ago, our lives were irrevocably changed in the best way imaginable.  Rory and Reese entered this world small but strong and bursting with personality from the start, weighing in at 5 lbs. 8 oz. and 5lbs., respectively.

Soon after coming home from the hospital, came the whirlwind, sleepless nights (gasp) — would it be a colossal understatement to say we are two times as glad those are in the past?  While it has certainly been challenging at times (we estimate that we will have changed roughly 7400 diapers in the first year alone), it has all been well worth it considering our two beautiful blue eyed girls.

Rory, we chose your name for you before you were born and little did we know how its meaning, “fiery one,” would suit you perfectly.  As our family describes you, you are “a real sketch,” as your laugh is contagious, and you remind us all what it is like to have true curiosity for the world around you.

And to our little peanut Reese, you are sweet and focused, and you surprise us with the way you can stand up for yourself (as your daddy calls it, your “salty pickle” alter ego.).  You are elegance and determination all rolled into one string bean, with a perfect giggle to match.

To our beautiful daughters, we will never be able to express in words the crazy love we have for you, how much you have taught us and reminded us about ourselves, and how incredibly lucky we are to watch you grow.  We cannot wait to see what the future holds for you.”

Mason’s First Birthday! | Rhode Island and MA First Birthday Cake Smash Photography

I have met Mason three times now.. and each time his mom has brought the MET’S  hat!  (just a little note here.. Masons mother is completely disappointed in me because I previously had that written as a “yankee’s” hat.).

During his newborn session, we got a great shot of him wearing it on his adorable little tushy.

Mason was not interested in his awesome birthday cake, but he flashed some smiles when we played outside and with his hat to finish off his first year of photos!
