Boys | Rhode Island and MA Family Photography

Right now, I am battling my daughter to get her to wear anything other than a pink tutu… and her energetic outbursts are filled with twirling and high pitched squeals.  I am lost when it comes to 4 and 6 year old brothers whipping toy alligators, and tackling each other to the ground.

I used to think girls wore pink and boys wore blue was because of society and the environment they were raised in, but after having friends that have sons, and photographing this gorgeous, funny and smiling family, I think there is a VERY distinct difference between most girls and boys!

Something I am preparing myself for when my six month old son reaches the toddler years!

I have to say… this session was lots of fun, and the boys were extremely happy;  from the second I got out of the car they rushed up to me to show off their alligator (Max).

Thanks again for sharing them with me for the afternoon!

Newborn Luke | Rhode Island and Boston, MA Newborn Baby Photography

“As we approached the 39th week of pregnancy, we were prepared to meet the arrival of our baby boy. I mean this was our second child and they tend to come sooner, right? His sister was induced after 40 weeks, but we still thought I might go early. We had Grandma in from Cincinnati ready to help once baby arrived. Everything was cleaned, folded & ready to go.

Well, 39 weeks came & went. Forty came & went too. Should we induce again? They thought he would be pretty big- a 9 pounder! Could I deliver a 9+ pound baby? Another induction was scheduled. The morning of the induction, I just couldn’t bring myself to do it. I wanted this baby to come when he was ready, not to be “evicted”.

After much consideration, we cancelled the induction and decided to give him a few more days. The whole family was on baby watch. Every day past forty weeks feels like an eternity. You want your baby here to hold. You are uncomfortable and want your body back. Mostly you just want them here safe & sound.

Well, Luke arrived exactly one week past his due date, all on his own – all 9lbs 6 oz of him!  It was a quick labor and very speedy delivery. I am here to testify- fat squishes and he had no problem making his way out into the world. We are glad that we let nature take it’s course and had him on our terms. He is a pretty mellow and easy baby. Our biggest challenge is making our 2 year old feel like an important part of things. We are so blessed to have such a sweet addition to our family.  Every days is an adventure as a family of four!”

Ashton’s First Birthday! | Rhode Island and MA Baby Photography

It was a super warm, party cloudy evening at the beach, and Ashton flashed us some smiles for the shoot.  It was so great to see everyone again… and to see how much of a little model Ashton has become!  Dad’s parents came for the shoot as well.. I cannot tell you enough how happy I am when grandparents join in on the session!

Momma Effie | Rhode Island and MA Outdoor Maternity Photography

I left this evenings session in such a happy mood… the lighting, my models, and the location were all beautiful!

It was so nice to see Effie again.. I think it has been since high school that I have run into her?   Do you recognize her?… She is one of the stunning faces of Filippo’s pizza in RI!

I am sure she has been in heaven these last eight months.. what pregnant girl doesn’t love a slice (or four)?
