I don’t often photograph family events.. but I am happy that I took the camera out of the bag for this one. Also happy that I invited my assistant to the party because she stole the camera for a little bit! I am kicking myself for not taking photos of the party which was going on upstairs (my daughter and her friends attacking the princess costumes)
Happy Birthday to Dax and my dad! The photos of my husband, dad and Dax mean the world to me.. I love my three favorite men!
I always have a great time photographing the P family… how could I not with their super energetic daughter (who kept sneaking her moms ice coffee during our session) and her adorable little brother!?
They are close to my kids ages, and I always find it interesting to watching other families similar to my own!
Charlotte stared into my lens many times throughout the session.. she was very sweet and smiley, and I couldn’t of asked for a cuter newborn baby to have as my model!
I am so thankful for this woman; she took the first photo of my son ever. She was there for me during both of my pregnancies, and in the delivery room as my doula for my sons birth. I love her so much for how selfless, caring and beautiful she is.. inside and out. I admire her for all of her skills .. an artist, photographer, friend, doula, mother and wife.

The forecast called for 40% chance of showers, and it was a weekend shoot so I hesitated to cancel. Of course, on the way to the park it started raining, but it was one of those light rains that leaves the sky nice and bright. I couldn’t shoot directly outdoors so we found a gazebo on a lake and had our “outdoor” photoshoot! I am so happy with how they turned out.. the lighting was amazing, and Lianna was in great spirits!
