Newborn Joey was one of my last little ones in the old studio… he is so adorable and made some of my favorite newborn faces ever photographed! I am very excited to see how animated he looks when he gets older!

“As we approached the 39th week of pregnancy, we were prepared to meet the arrival of our baby boy. I mean this was our second child and they tend to come sooner, right? His sister was induced after 40 weeks, but we still thought I might go early. We had Grandma in from Cincinnati ready to help once baby arrived. Everything was cleaned, folded & ready to go.
Well, 39 weeks came & went. Forty came & went too. Should we induce again? They thought he would be pretty big- a 9 pounder! Could I deliver a 9+ pound baby? Another induction was scheduled. The morning of the induction, I just couldn’t bring myself to do it. I wanted this baby to come when he was ready, not to be “evicted”.
After much consideration, we cancelled the induction and decided to give him a few more days. The whole family was on baby watch. Every day past forty weeks feels like an eternity. You want your baby here to hold. You are uncomfortable and want your body back. Mostly you just want them here safe & sound.
Well, Luke arrived exactly one week past his due date, all on his own – all 9lbs 6 oz of him! It was a quick labor and very speedy delivery. I am here to testify- fat squishes and he had no problem making his way out into the world. We are glad that we let nature take it’s course and had him on our terms. He is a pretty mellow and easy baby. Our biggest challenge is making our 2 year old feel like an important part of things. We are so blessed to have such a sweet addition to our family. Every days is an adventure as a family of four!”

He was not tired in the least bit! He closed his eyes for maybe 10 minutes of our 3 hour adventure! Such a little cutie pie!
